The Center’s Advisory Council was established in 2002 in response to a critical need for a group of "Informed Ambassadors" who could reach out to their communities with accurate information regarding the Center. A diverse team of influential women, representing a cross-section of the community, was assembled and now meet several times a year to plan creative ways and events to raise money for the Center. This passionate group has raised over one million dollars for the Center and hosted many significant fundraisers. The success of their initiatives would not be possible if it wasn’t for their unwavering commitment and dedication. "They are simply brilliant," says Executive Director Clare Bisceglia. "They are treasured friends; an endless resource; a cohesive support group; brilliant fundraisers and cherished members of the theatre family."
L-R: Advisory Council Members Roni Cowan, Patty Allen, Abby Merrill, Nancy Lobel, Ann Liguori, Carol Gertz, Carolyn Buchter, Suzanne Marchisello, Peggy McNally-Zinberg. Seated L-R: Woman of Distinction Yvonne Elliman and Barbara Weisz.
As part of the luncheon, the Council recognized its Founding Vice-Chair, Yvonne Elliman’s, 10 years of leadership with the first-ever "Woman of Distinction Award"- an award to be presented, when warranted, to extraordinary women who’ve been powerful advocates for the theatre. Yvonne has made countless contributions and has been an effective fundraiser for the Center since its establishment in 1997. A generous donor and passionate patron, she continues to be actively involved with the theatre on every level. BRAVO!
