Sunday’s Harmony Home Concierge Opening Day competition began bright and early in the Grand Prix ring with the smallest of the week’s competitors, leadline riders ages two to four, followed by the groups for ages five to seven.

Hotly contested with nearly a hundred entries, these perfectly-presented young riders and their mounts had the honor of being first to set foot on the immaculate grass of the Grand Prix Ring.  They were each judged carefully by Olympic Gold medal winner and Show Jumping Hall of Famer, Joe Fargis of Middleburg, VA. The scores were so close that a ride-off took place to establish final placings in the two age groups.

Sponsored by Kristen Baran and Mitch Kates and presented by Brennan’s Bit and Bridle, the final results of the Leadline 2-4 years were:

1.    Vivienne Van Lith, Brooklyn, NY with Thumbalina

2.    Ian Luca Roman, Wellington, FL with Buttons & Bows

3.    Mariela D’Agostino, New York, NY with Ledinjadon Exclusively Dun

4.    Zachary Zukerman, Huntington, NY with Flower Power

For those who can’t make it to the show grounds, complimentary live webcasts of all Grand Prix ring competitions air on the Hampton Classic website, produced by ShowNet and courtesy of LONGINES. In addition, WVVH-TV, the official Long Island television station of the Hampton Classic, broadcasts up to five hours of competition and highlights each day during the Classic. These broadcasts can also be seen on line at www.wvvh.tv. Most of the Classic’s other classes are also available on ShowNet.biz
