American songwriter Suzanne Vega graces stage of The John Drew Theater in East Hampton.

The distinctive artist/story teller/singer Suzanne Vega, who emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980’s, appeared at Guild Hall in East Hampton on Saturday, September 3. She did old songs as well as new songs from a recently released album and a soon to be released album, which has songs from a new musical Vega wrote about the writer Carson McCuller. The musical will have its world premiere with a four week run at the Alley Theater in Houston, Texas, were Vega will play McCullers.
