For years The Sidewalk Café’s back room in the East Village has been part of the mainstream music scene, nurturing young talent of all kinds.  A new Wednesday night series "Sidewalk Swings", was launched at The Sidewalk Café on March 6, 2013, dedicated to musicians playing and singers performing popular standards from the Great American songbook. On opening night, impresario Len Triola, treated the invited guests to a sampling of what is to come. Pianist Marcus Dagan hosted the show which featured four fine singers: Jerry Costanzo, Phil Caggiano, Craig Pomranz and Kelly Sutttenfield. This intimate room is perfect for a musical night out on the town.  What could be better than listening to terrific songs with a variety of wonderful singers in a casual setting, while enjoying drinks and dinner from a delicious, yet reasonable menu?
