“Schools Out” HMI Benefit
By: Isa Goldberg
Thomas Krever (HMI Executive DIrector), Michael Longacre
The annual benefit for Hetrick Martin Institute at the home of Peter Wilson and Scott Sanders in East Hampton was a celebratory reunion for revelers and loyal supporters. More than just a happy welcome to summer, the benefit raised $225,000 for the Harvey Milk School and HMI’s many after school programs for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. Vodka flowed, chocolate brownies with chocolate chips really rocked, and rows of rhododendrons surrounding friends and new acquaintances made for a spectacular evening.
