PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL sashayed into Broadway’s Palace Theater on Sunday March 20, 2011 with a dazzling display of talent, songs and extravagant costumes. Adapted from the Academy Award winning film, “The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert,” the campy razzle dazzle musical directed by Simon Phillips is non- stop entertainment packed with close to 30 songs from three decades of disco music. The show stars Will Swenson, Tony Sheldon, and Nick Adams as three heart-warming drag-queens traveling on a tour bus trek across the Australian outback. Lead producer Bette Midler was on hand for the opening night festivities and one of the most fabulous opening night parties ever at The Chelsea Piers, which drew an A-list of Broadway celebrities to the opening. PRISCILLA is now playing at the Palace Theatre, 1564 Broadway at 47th Street.
