Celebrating its 66^th season of bestowing awards of excellence in the field of theater, Outer Critic Circle, the organization of writers and commentators covering New York theater for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, presented their awards today, May 26, at a Gala Dinner at the legendary Sardis Restaurant. Outer Critic Circle presented their annual awards at a Gala dinner at the legendary Sardi’s

Presenters included Marlo Thomas, Doug Hughes, Alex Sharp, Victoria Clark, and Mario Fratti. Awards were presented in 25 categories for the 20015-2016 season. “She Loves Me” lead the field with four awards including Outstanding Revival of a Musical followed by “Long Day’s Journey into Night with three awards including Outstanding Revival of a Play. President Simon Saltzman presented the lyricist Sheldon Harnick, best known for his collaborations with Jerry Brock on the classic musical ‘Fiddler on the Roof,” with a special award. “Fiddler on the Roof was successfully revived this season in a sensational production and Danny Burstein was awarded Outstanding Actor in a Musical.
