Drama Desk Award winner Michael Urie will host the 2016 Drama Desk Awards ceremony at The Town Hall on June 5th.
In addition to his Drama Desk Award, Michael has received the Clarence Derwent Award, the Lucille Lortel Award, and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Award; he has been nominated for Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Awards. His New York stage credits include Jonathan Tolins’ Buyer & Cellar, Shows For Days, The Cherry Orchard, Angels in America, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and The Temperamentals. On television, he played Marc St. James on Ugly Betty, and he currently hosts the Logo series Cocktails And Classics. Michael’s movies include He’s Way More Famous Than You (which he also directed), Thank You for Judging (co-director/executive producer), Beverly Hills Chihuahua, WTC View, Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, The Decoy Bride, Petunia, Such Good People, and The Hyperglot (director).
