Melissa Errico performed an "An Evening of Song," with musical direction by John Oddo to an adoring audience in The Dina Merrill Pavillion at The John Drew Theater in East Hampton, followed by a VIP reception. The multi talented Errico dazzled in every possible way from her red strapless cocktail dress to her eclectic repertoire of beautifully performed songs from Legrand, Broadway and beyond. The versatile Broadway soprano recently completed a CD, "Legrand Affair," of classic Michel Legrand songs conducted by the composer himself that will be released on October 18, 2012. The haunting Legrand selections were amongst the highlights of her effortlessly charming evening.
The sparkling star turned the stage into her own private party and dedicated the amazing show to her friend and mentor Tony Walton who attended with his wife Gen as did Melissa’s husband, parents, friends and supporters from the community. Melissa was backed up by John Oddo on Piano, David Finck on Bass, Jim Saporito on Drums and Lighting and Sound Design by Matt Berman. The evening was Directed by Richard Jay- Alexander.
