Two legendary Broadway performers Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin united on the stage of The Dina Merrill Pavilon The John Drew Theate @ Guild Hall for a season spect

acular benefit p

erformance.
They thrilled the packed theater with a version of the show "AN EVENING WITH PATTI LUPONE & MANDY PATINKIN (conceived by Patinkin and Paul Ford and directed by Patinkin) that last season played to sold-out houses on Broadway. The highlight of the evening was when the EVITA co-stars sang songs from that original 1980 production that launched their careers. They both won Tony Awards she for creating Evita and he for originating Che in his Broadway debut. LuPone’s memorable rendition of "Don’t Cry For Me Argentina" still sends shiivers down the spine. Afterwards a wonderful after dinner party was hosted by the always gracious Mary Jane & Charles Brock at their home, where the two dressed down stars held court under a tent.
