December 28, 2012: Jamie de Roy & friends continued with their festive soirees at the Metropolitan Room where Jamie’s eclectic mix of friends turned out right before the New Year filling the club with joyous Holiday Spirit and an added a dash of charm to carry everyone into the New Year.
The evening started off with Jamie singing a clever new song "Name Droppings" by Dale Gonyea with additional lyrics by Jamie deRoy. Featured artists included Loni Ackerman, Michael Amante, Valarie Pettiford and Giselle Wolf, but the highlights of the evening had to be the hysterically funny Judy Gold, who is poised for her Broadway debut, and the Tony Award winning Tonya Pinkinks singing "This Gift" and Burt Bacharach’s holiday classic "What the World Needs Now."
Jamie closed out the evening with her witty rendition of "Duane Reade" by Tony Hatch with parody lyrics by Barry Kleinbort, who also directed the show. Musical direction was by Ron Abel.
