Jamie deRoy and Stellar Roster of Friends in Birdland Benefit to Support Actors Fund Cabaret Initiative

Cabaret performer, stage actress, theater/film producer, and general hostess with the mostest Jamie deRoy is presenting a roster of stellar performers in a special evening of her multi MAC Award-winning variety show, Jamie de Roy & Friends on Monday, September 22nd at 7 P.M. at Birdland for its Broadway at Birdland series.
Proceeds benefit The Actors Fund’s newest program, The Jamie deRoy & Friends Cabaret Initiative, created to assist people working in the cabaret industry in need of support for medical needs available through the comprehensive services and programs of TAF.
The benefit will give clubgoers the opt to catch three of theater’s most dynamic stars out of their milieu, and enjoy the high-energy of one of the comedy world’s greats.
Joining Jamie will be Joy Behar, Tony and four-time Drama Desk nominee Stephanie J. Block, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Tony and DD nominee Chad Kimball, Tony and DD nominee and special DD Award winner [for his performance in Parts II and III of The Orphans’ Home Cycle] Bryce Pinkham, and Haley Swindal. Barry Kleinbort will direct, with Ron Abel music directing. Tom Hubbard will accompany on bass.
Eight-time MAC Award-winner deRoy’s cabaret series is celebrating 23 years spotlighting stars and newcomers in the cabaret, theater, and comedy arena. It’s also the basis for her award-winning cable TV show. Harbinger and PS Classics record labels currently showcase eight CDs in the Jamie deRoy & Friends series.
