Jamie deRoy & friends @ Birdland

Jamie deRoy & friends came to Birdland for a fantastic evening of entertainment to benefit the Actor’s Fund. The evening served as the kick-off of an initiative by Jamie for cabaret performers that will make all the services that benefit actors also available to cabaret performers. The Actor’s Fund is an incredible organization. In November of 2015 there will be a big event on Broadway by Jamie deRoy & Friends to benefit the Actor’s Fund and to celebrate Jamie deRoy & friends 25th Anniversary along with Jamie’s 70th birthday. The kick-off evening was stellar and the multi-faceted talent was show stopping. Clint Homes, who was amongst Jamie’s roster of talent can be seen at the Café Carlyle with Frank Wildhorn and Jane Monheit through February 1.

Dee Snider, from "Celebrity Apprentice" and front man from the heavy metal band Twister Sister, has written a "Musical, Dee Snider’s Rock & Roll Christmas Tale," which he will debut in Chicago this fall before coming to Broadway in 2015. Dee brought copies of his new CD, "Dee Does Broadway" (featuring Bebe Neuwirth, Patti LuPone, Cindi Lauper and more) as gifts for everyone to enjoy.
