July 14, 2012: The premier lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) event of the summer season, the 20th Anniversary Hamptons Tea Dance, hosted by the Empire State Pride Agenda was a smashing success on a sultry summer day in fields of the Art Project, a unique sculpture park on 100 acres of rolling hills in historic Watermill. The well attended event is an annual fundraiser for LGBT that attracts a wide array of leaders in the worlds of business, finance, law, politics, fashion, art and design. More than 1000 people showed up to support New York State’s leading LGBT organization.

Back by popular demand was well-known New York City DJ Lady Bunny, who kept the dance floor under a tent jumping, even on the steamy day. Belvedere Vodka, ZICO Coconut Water, Barefoot Wines & Barefoot Bubbly and Bud Light provided refreshment for the event. Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams sponsored the children’s area, with toys donated by Second Star to the Right store.

The Tea Dance benefits the Empire State Pride Agenda, whose current work focuses on supporting candidates in the coming elections who voted for marriage, along with passing a transgender non-discrimination law.
