The Guild Hall Summer Gala 2013 celebrated the work of artist Chuck Close and honored Ninah and Michael Lynne at the home of Louise and Leonard Riggio. The evening, however, started off with an exclusive preview of the stunning exhibition, Chuck Close: Recent Works curated by Christina Strassfield on view at Guild Hall from August 10 through October 14. The party of the season followed at the Riggio Estate, where the hosts opened their magnificent home to guests during the cocktail hour prior to the splendid dinner.

Alec Baldwin was on hand lending inspired support, when he took to the microphone. He has become a valued benefactor of Guild Hall by generously donating his money, time and talents to champion their artistic achievements.  After dinner the live auction was a huge success. The incomparable auctioneer Alexander Gilkes, co-founder of Paddle 8, raised Three Hundred Thousand dollars from nine donated lots. Dancing to Sly Blue closed out a very special evening for Guild Hall and the artistic community of East Hampton. PC
