“Genet Porno” Opening Night
Genet Porno, a work by Yvan Greenberg based on Jean Genet’s 1943 novel about a cross-dressing gay prostitute named Divine, is actually a mash of the novel, considered pornographic when first published, and a porn star’s YouTube diary. Oleg Duson plays the transsexual Divine and is extraordinary in the central role of the tortured porn star. Unfortunately he is upstaged by two over-sized dildos for most of the evening.
