Evidence Dance Company honored founder and artistic director, Ronald K. Brown, on their 25th Anniversary with the GRACE IN WINTER SILVER BALL in the ballroom of the Plaza Hotel.
The ball is one of the premiere African-American events of the social season and draws out the elite of Black society. After cocktails guests were treated to a performance of the celebrated dance company’s signature work “Grace.” A live auction followed the sumptuous dinner, but the evening’s highlight was Jennifer Holliday, an African-American icon and a Tony award winner from the original production of “Dream Girls,” who closed the evening with her signature rendition of “I’m Telling You,” which had the elegant audience screaming for more.
