Some Like It Hot, Leopoldstadt, and Annaleigh Ashford were winners at the Annual Drama League Awards Luncheon honoring the 2022-2023 Broadway and Off-Broadway Season.
May 20, 2023: Winners of the 89th Annual Drama League Awards were announced on Friday, May 19, at their annual luncheon awards ceremony held at The Ziegfeld Ballroom and hosted by Frank DiLella of NY1. The awards honor seven categories of outstanding achievements in theater during the 2022-2023 Broadway and Off-Broadway season, including the coveted Distinguished Performer of the Year Awards, which can only be won one time. The distinguished awarad winner this year was Annaleigh Ashford for her performance in the revival of Sweeney Todd. Many Broadway legends are on the illustrious list of past winners. Broadway and Off-Broadway productions that began previews between April 21, 2022- April 23, 2023 were eligible. Below is the complete list of winners as well the previously announced award winners.
