The Drama Desk hosted a Panel Discussion at Sardi’s on March 30th, 2012 “It’s a Hard Act To Follow,” exploring the challenges confronting the stars in current New York theater revivals of hit shows who are playing iconic roles and following in the footsteps of the actors who gave memorable and iconic performances in the original stage productions on Broadway. The Panelists included Michael McKean (Gore Vidal’s The Best Man), Lynne Meadow (Wit), Cynthia Nixon (Wit), Hunter Parrish (Godspell) and Blair Underwood (A Streetcar Named Desire) and moderated by Elysa Gardner.
