Outstanding Actress in a Play, "End of the Rainbow," Tracie Bennett gets our vote for not only outstanding actress, but for best dressed. She glided down the carpet wearing a dazzling lemon yellow Rubin Singer strapless evening gown, with Jewelry by David Yurman, a stunning Judith Leiber handbag and shoes by Casadei. Bernadette Peters also looked fantastic in a one shouldered hot purple cocktail dress.

March 5, 2012: Guild Hall of East Hampton presented their 27th Annual Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards at the St. Regis Hotel Roof Top Ballroom in New York. Marshall Brickman served as  Master of Ceremonies and special guest celebrity presenters included Eric Fischl, Lou Reed , China Machado, and Ted Hartley. The 2011 Honorees are Jon Robin Baitz for Literary Arts, Bruce Weber for Visual Arts, Laurie Anderson for Performing Arts, and Dina Merrill  was honored with a Special Award for Leadership & Philanthropic Endeavors.

 The Best of Broadway & Cabaret came out to support The Actors Temple.

Randie Levine-Miller who created, publicized, and hosted the festive fundraiser charmed the audience and made this years benefit a huge success once again.  Brent Barrett, Anna Bergman, Jim Brochu, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, John De Marco, Jackie Hoffman, Lisa Lampanelli, Sue Mathys, Sidney Myer, Jill O’Hara, Brad Oscar, Lee Roy Reams, Steve Schalchlin, Rena Strober, and Michael Lavine Music Director all who donated their time and talent had the crowd roaring with delight. Carol Ostrow sponsored the after party and greeted guests with grace.

Beloved cabaret performer Jamie deRoy hosted back to back nights of her multi MAC Award winning variety show Jamie deRoy & Friends  this past October 4th and 5th at the intimate cabaret, the Metropolitan Room on 22nd Street where the performers “Celebrated Songwriters.”
The two evenings featured Jeff Blumenkrantz, David Buskin, Marcy Heisler & Zina Goldrich, Jack Holmes, Lance Horne, Rick Jensen, Barry Kleinbort, Christine Lavin, Shelly Markham, Amanda Yesnowitz & Deborah Abramson and a special surprise guest Alexandra Silber, who filled in at the last minute of the second night for Alan Cumming, who got held up on the television set of The Good Wife. Alexandra will be making in solo debut of the Kennedy Center in Washington DC on December 2nd.

The 9th annual Nightlife Awards are different than other award shows.  There are no acceptance speeches and the recipient’s demonstrate why they are winners by actually performing, making this a night of pure entertainment. Scott Siegel conceived and produced the show and twenty-three journalists/critics did the voting choosing the best from NYC’s cabaret, jazz and comedy clubs.  Scott Coulter directed and Tedd Firth served as Musical Director.
