Qualifier Winner Karl Cook Returns for the Victory in Sunday’s $410,000 Hampton Classic 5* Grand PrixFinal Awards Given at the 2022 Hampton Classic Horse Show 

September 4, 2022– Of the 30 horse-and-rider combinations representing nine countries in Sunday’s culminating $410,000 Hampton Classic 5* Grand Prix and nine pairs to make the jump-off, only five went double-clear over Alan Wade’s (IRL) 17-effort, 1.60m course. Last to go in both rounds was American Karl Cook, who returned with his Grand Prix Qualifier mount, Kalinka Van’t Zorgvliet, to stop the clock in 36.710 seconds and secure his second victory at the Hampton Classic.

46th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show

August 28, 2022  The 46th annual Hampton Classic Horse Show opened Sunday to beautiful, breezy weather and unveiled its new Grand Prix Arena to kick off a weeklong schedule full of world-class equestrian competition. First to enter the new ring were the smallest of the week’s competitors as leadline riders in age groups of 2-4 and 5-7 took the stage.

Their second production of the Mainstage Summer Season, Nilo Cruz’s 2003 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Anna in the Tropics, is another winner, and yet decidedly different from the absurd comedy they offered last. Anna is an intoxicating tale of love, lust, and dreams, with Chekhovian overtones. The Anna in the play’s title refers to another Russian writer, Leo Tolstoy, who wrote “Anna Karenina.” Cruz’s language is hauntingly lyrical and the staging by Marcos Santana highlights the poetry of his writing exquisitely..

They launched their 2022 Mainstage Summer Season with the East coast premiere of Windfall, an outrageous farce with a distinctly dark edge, by Scooter Pietsch. Directed by television icon Jason Alexander, who created the role of George Costanza on television’s Seinfeld, the absurd comedy is about the fallout that ensues when five office workers risk their life savings to win a $500 million dollar lottery.

Jonathan Nash Glynn Solo Show at Colm Rowan Fine Art in East Hampton

April 24, 2022: Over 100 people attended the opening reception of Jonathan Nash Glynn’s abstract paintings at Colm Rowan Fine Art in East Hampton, on Saturday, April 23. This was his first solo show at this three-year old gallery, located at 55 Main Street in East Hampton, in the walkway next to the Ralph Lauren barn. Art lovers milled around the gallery and into the walkway and courtyard. Among them were musician G.E. Smith and former East Hampton Town Councilman Jeff Bragman.
