DOCS EQUINOX April 12-13-14 at Southampton Arts Center.

April 9, 2024:  Southampton Arts Center and Hamptons Doc Fest greet Spring with DOCS EQUINOX, a 4-film festival on April 12, 13, & 14 at SAC 25, Jobs Lane in Southampton. The compelling films will kick off Earth Day week with tasty food, wine receptions, engaging speakers and authors, and participation by food and farmland advocates.  The films are FOOD, INC 2. Back for Seconds, COMMON GROUND, THE SOUL OF A FARMER, and KELP.  Adult tickets are $20 a day or a 3-day pass for $50/SAC Members $40.

February 17, 2024:  Southampton Arts Center, 25 Jobs Lane, will host an opening reception for LOOK AT THE BOOK on Saturday, February 24th @5pm.  Curated by Christina M. Strassfield LOOK AT THE BOOK Is a multimedia exhibition that pays homage to “Books.” The exhibition will focus on how contemporary artists have engaged with the book as a surface, structure, found object, philosophical, and literary guide. The works will include various types of books, accordion books, video books and audiobooks, graphic novels, sculpture, photography, and several site-specific installations created with and from books.

January 7, 2024:  A staged reading of Tennessee Williams’s The Glass Menagerie produced by Center Stage at the Southampton Arts Center will open January 27th for a one weekend run at the Southampton Arts Center, 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton. Performances will be held on Saturday, January 27th at 2:00 and 7:00 pm and on Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 pm.

THE BIG CHRISTMAS SHOW, A MUSICAL RADIO PLAY will play on Friday, Dec 8 through Sunday Dec 10 at Southampton Arts Center.

December 3, 2023: Southampton Arts Center, 25 Jobs Lane, is presenting The Big Christmas Show, A Musical Radio Play, that celebrates the holidays, and the spirit of radio variety shows. Conceived and written by Joe Landry and Michael Disher, the tale is set at a star-studded variety broadcast starring Tallulah Bankhead, Groucho Marx, Ethel Merman and a host of other celebrities. When the broadcast forces the WBFR radio staff and performers to rise to the proverbial occasion, an unexpected heartfelt harmony occurs on this Christmas Eve, 1950.

Ukraine Fundraiser at The White Room Gallery to aid refugees in the war-torn country.

November 26, 2023: The White Room Gallery hosted a Ukraine Fundraiser at their new home across from the Railroad Station in East Hampton at 3 Railroad Avenue. The event from 6:30 – 8:30 on Saturday featured the works of five Ukrainian artists, which were for sale with 100% of the proceeds going to charity.

November 21, 2023: Southampton Arts Center, 25 Jobs Lane will screen the acclaimed 2000 film POLLOCK with Ed Harris delivering a remarkable portrayal of the artist. The film is a cinematic experience, which offers a captivating exploration of Pollock’s inner turmoil, artistic process, and the impact he had on the art world. There will be a special introduction by Helen Harrison, director at the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center, who will provide unique insights into the life and art of Jackson Pollock.

The White Room Gallery will host a UKRAINE FUNDRAISER on Saturday, November 25 from 6:30-8:30pm at their new East Hampton location, 3 Railroad Avenue.

November 18, 2023: The White Room Gallery, now located at 3 Railroad Avenue in East Hampton, will host a UKRAINE FUNDRAISER on Saturday, November 25 to aid refugees in the war-torn country. The works of 5 Ukrainian artists will be for sale: Miroslav Duzinkevych; Julia Beynenson, Sasha Odesa, Valeriy Puzik, and Alisa Kutsak.  The event will also include a musical performance by Alla Rodina (the National artist of Ukraine) and Aleksandr Bolotin (an award-winning pianist). Our special guest will be a famous Ukrainian journalist Julia Gorodetskaya.
