Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, continued his multi-evening 92nd Street Y conversation series, “Broadway Talks,” with Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress Elaine Stritch, who was deeply moved by Jordon’s introduction on Monday (December 6, 2010). Roth and Stritch discussed her current role in the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music and her admiration for her co-star Bernadette Peters. After 67 years in the business Stritch certainly knows how to get applause, but interestingly she said the song “Liasons” from "A Night Music" was the toughest song she ever sang.

Along with her legendary career, her re-occurring role as Alec Baldwin’s mother on “30 Rock” the two delved into the great romances of her life, which included Gig Young, Ben Gazzara, Joe Allen and her husband John Bay, who passed away in 1982 after 9 years of marriage. However, Stritch, who stopped drinking alcohol 27 years ago, except for a serving spoon of gin every day with a tall glass of tonic water, said her most difficult assignment in life was dealing with her diabetes.
Next up in the series is Patti Lupone on February 6, 2011
