Award-winning Broadway actress Julie Halston hosted the second annual Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) benefit "BROADWAY BELTS for PFF!" on February 27, 2012 at Birdland Jazz Club. Ms.Haston, currently appearing on Broadway in ANYTHING GOES, has been a leading spokesperson and activist for the disease ever since her husband, broadcaster Ralph Howard, was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in 2008.

Halston again was directed by Carl Andress in the show that featured some of Broadway’s biggest stars including Heidi Blickenstaff (Broadway’s "[TITLE OF SHOW]"), Darlene Love (Rock in Roll Hall of Fame, Broadway’s "HAIRSPRAY"), Julia Murney (Broadway’s "WICKED"/"QUEEN OF THE MIST"), Adam Pascal ("MEMPHIS" Tony Nominee for "Rent"), Andrew Rannells (Tony Nominee for "THE BOOK OF MORMON"), Seth Rudetsky (Host of SETH’S BiG FAT BROADWAY on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio), Robert Creighton (ANYTHING GOES), Lindsay Mendez (GODSPELL), Betsy Wolfe (ENCORES! MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG), and a very special appearance by Joel Grey.

All funds from the evening including dinner and the fantastic performances went toward the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation’s Michael Kuchwara Fund for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, Education, and Advocacy, in honor of the late and beloved Associated Press theater critic.
