September 17, 2013: Stephanie B. Clark, Director of the Wally Findlay Gallery, and Mary Jane Brock hosted a circus themed kick-off reception for 150 fans of the BIG APPLE CIRCUS, one of New City’s longtime treasures, at the Wally Findlay East 57th Street Gallery. BIG APPLE CIRCUS which plays under a tent at Lincoln Center in single ring, where no spectator is more than 50 feet from the action runs from OCT 25TH THRU JAN 12TH and is one of the season’s highlights great for children and adults of all ages. Every season the circus creates an entirely new show This year the show is Luminocity.
In attendance at Wednesday reception were Paul Binder and Michael Christensen founders of Big Apple Circus and Clown Care. Mr. Christensen will be honored at the New York City Season Opening Gala Dinner, which takes place on Tuesday October 29 at Damrosch Park in Lincoln Center. Festivities will include cocktails, a seated dinner, a Gala celebration performance under the Big Top, and desserts with the artists in the circus ring. Another special event besides the regular schedule is the Holiday Season Family Benefit on Saturday November 16 at 3:30.
