A Special Preview of METAMORPHOSIS!
Guild Hall presented a p

review of the BIG APPLE CIRCUS‘ upcoming Lincoln Center show "Metamorphosis."Leading this very special evening was the Big Apple Circus Ringmaster John Kennedy Kane with a special appearance by Francesco the Clown from France, along with acts featuring the famed Anastasini family on risley (foot juggling – each other!); rolla-bolla acrobats; and contortionists. Jenny Vidbel, Big Apple Circus‘ long-time animal trainer and presenter, added to the night’s entertainment with her performing dogs. The renowned Big Apple Circus Band, under the direction of Maestro Rob Slowik, provided live music at the performance!
Circus festivities preceded the show at Mary Jane and Charles Brock’s home just down the Street from Guild Hall, where the Brocks hosted a lively pre-show cocktail party with special attention to the children. After the party Circus attendees walked down Main Street with the Circus clowns and women on stilts. Very festive, indeed.
In addition to METAMORPHOSIS, which will feature magic and transformation along with a flying trapeze, dogs, camels and clowns, over the same 2014-2015 season the Big Apple Circus COMMUNITY PROGRAMS will reach 300,000 individuals around the country. These programs include CLOWN CARD, CIRCUS OF THE SENSES, CIRCUS AFTER SCHOOL, and CIRCUS FOR ALL. The Big Apple Circus has a host of upcoming events, get involved or just go to the circus.
