Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor held their 25th Annual Summer Gala on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor. The Silver Anniversary benefited Bay Street’s educational and theatrical programs with a special evening which began in the Theater with performances of scenes of productions from the past 25 years emceed by B.D. Wong. As part of the tribute Bay Street honored founding Board members and current patrons, Adrianne and Jerry Cohen, along with Bay Street founders Emma Walton Hamilton and Stephen Hamilton, who launched Bay Street Theater with visionary founder and Artistic Director Sybil Christopher, who died in 2013.
At the theater as part of the entertainment guests were treated to a song form the Pulitzer-Prize and Oscar-winning syndicated cartoonist and author Jules Feiffer’s new musical The Man in the Ceiling, which Tony winning Hamilton producer, Jeffrey Seller, will bring to Bay Street Theater during the 2017 season.
The festivities continued under a tent on the Long Wharf with a cocktail party and silent auction prior to dinner. After dinner Celebrity Auctioneer Richard Kind conducted a Live Fantasy Auction before the evening continued with dancing till 11pm.
