July 6, 2013: Fresh from a sold-out benefit at Avery Fisher Hall five-time Tony Award Winner, Audra McDonald performed an intimate concert in the Dina Merrill Pavilion @ Guild Hall in East Hampton as part of their Season Spectacular. The woman, who The New York Times referred to as "a defining voice of our time," wowed a sold out house that gave the star a standing ovation bringing her back for two additional encores. The Broadway legend is returning to the concert stage after four seasons on the hit ABC television series Private Practice and a record-tying fifth Tony Award win for her memorable performance in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. She was joined by a jazz ensemble for an unforgettable evening of song by this remarkable artist, who at 43 is at the height of her expressive powers. PC
