Amy Zerner & Monte Farber celebrated their 40th Anniversary at Keyes Art where Amy’s work is on view in an exhibition, All That Glitters
June 24, 2018: Amy Zerner and Monte Farber celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary against a backdrop of tapestries and spiritual collages by Amy Zerner that are part of an exhibition, All That Glitters, which opened at Keys Art, 53 The Circle in East Hampton, on June 10th. The exhibition that will continue through June 29 and also includes work by Bill Claps and artists from Bhoutan.
The exotic images that Amy Zerner conjures in her artwork are inspired by Persian paintings, Tibetan thangkas, exquisite dream visions and other imaginative sources. The artist’s work is filled with enchanted gardens, goddesses and sacred sanctuaries. The materials are lush and detailed with the overall result being works of art made opulent with many layers of magic and meaning.
Amy has been the recipient of a Visual Arts Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her tapestry collages are the basis for a series of bestselling books she has produced with Monte. She has sold her Art Couture at Bergdorf Goodman exclusively for 20 years, and her work is in the collection of many celebrity clients.
Next up at Keyes Art is an exhibition, About the Light, that will feature the works of Willem de Kooning, Mary Abbott, Lester Johnson, and Darius Yektai. There will be an opening reception on June 30th from 6-8pm.
Gallery hours are 10 AM – 6 PM weekdays and 10 AM – 9 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
