Vered Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art hosted opening receptions with two very contemporary one person exhibitions Memorial Day Weekend: "Peep Show" by Jessica Lichtenstein and "Breakout" by Ron Agam.
PEEP SHOW, Jessica Lichtenstein’s first solo exhibition in the Hamptons opens Memorial Day Weekend at Vered Gallery, East Hampton. Lichtenstein has already established her reputation as one of New York’s hottest young artists known for her anime inspired, doll filled tableaux and the wildly imaginative worlds she creates with her "Word Sculptures". This exhibition at Vered Gallery marks the next step in her evolution as an internationally acclaimed artist. View Jessica Lichtenstein PEEP SHOW on line.
BREAKOUT, Ron Agam’s exhibition at Vered Gallery is also his first solo exhibition in the Hamptons. Agam has said, "I paint therefore I am. I came to painting in infancy, crawling on the floor of my father’s studio. Inspired by shapes, forms and colors. I see and have always seen, work in three dimensions. It is the profound realm of art and the artist to ‘capture and control’ these elements into an emotional force." BREAKOUT, a dramatic title offers a new beginning. The artist’s urge to harness time, once left to science has been breached in Ron Agam’s lenticular art. View Ron Agam BREAKOUT on line.
For the opening of Vered Gallery’s 2013 season, modern art is handsomely represented with works by Pablo Picasso, Larry Rivers, Andy Warhol, Joseph Stella, Milton Avery, Jules Olitski and Fairfield Porter. For further information and additional reproductions please contact email@example.com
