Strong cast leads revival of powerful drama at 59E59 Theaters
A compelling revival of the THE CLEARING by Helen Edmundson opened at 59E59 Theaters on October 11 for a limited run through October 26, 2016. The play effectively directed by Pamela Moller Kareman is set against Oliver Cromwell’s brutal campaign to force Catholics out of Ireland while invoking a story of deceit, love, and passion.

Robert, an English aristocrat, and his free-spirited Irish wife Maddy find their marriage consumed by the treacherous political atmosphere in Ireland that threatens to separate them.
