International Concert Star ADRIENNE HAAN guest stars at Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks performance at Iguana in New York to promote April 18th Cutting Room show, Rock Le Cabaret!
A sold out VIP filled Iguana, which included Hollywood Actor Matt Dillon, UN Ambassadors Harald Braun of Germany and Simona Miculescu of Romania, welcomed Adrienne who performed musical selections from her forthcoming show ROCK LE CABARET! at The Cutting Room on April 18th with shows at 4pm and 7:30pm. Those shows will also feature a live appearance by acclaimed French Artist, Philippe Valy and an exhibition of his work! Among his many and varied collectors are former President Bill Clinton and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.
Adrienne Haan’s guest appearance, with a short guest spot by Newsical! / Sirius XM star Christine Pedi, highlighted a great music program by Grammy-winner Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, who have played in many New York nightclubs and appeared in such films as The Cotton Club, The Aviator, Finding Forrester, Revolutionary Road, and HBOs Boardwalk Empire. The Nighthawks concert appearances have included Town Hall, Jazz At Lincoln Center and the Newport Jazz Festival. A Robert R. Blume (Drama Desk Awards) production, Rock Le Cabaret! takes French chansons by Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour, and adds an all new modern interpretation with a five-piece rock band. Known for her "great voice" and as a "great entertainer," Haan’s musical love story combines commentary and anecdotes that have made history inspired by the lyrics of these musical gems along with insights of her own. Ms. Haan’s rock band includes two of Germany’s top jazz artists, pianist Laia Genc, and drummer Ralf Gessler, along with guitarist Braden Palmer, a founding member of the New York based swing band Double Down, bassist Adam Kabak, who has performed with greats such as Bobby Watson, Victor Lewis, Oleg Butman, Wynton Marsalis and George Cables, and highly regarded New York based performer, arranger and composer Kyle Schweizer on tenor sax and keyboards.

This spring she will also appear at the Neue Galerie’s Café Sabarsky.
Her latest CD, Berlin, Mon Amour, hailed as "engaging and unique," is a tribute to 1920s and 30s Germany. Earlier recordings include I Could Have Danced All Night, and Born to Entertain. Adrienne serves on the Board of the Duke Ellington Center For The Arts in NYC and as a cultural ambassador, she has performed at the Luxembourg and German Embassies in Washington, DC, and German Consulate of New York, all of which proudly endorse this production.
Acclaimed French artists Philippe Valy will collaborate with Ms. Haan in a special number where he will paint on stage while she performs. The Cutting Room will also display select works by Valy in the foyer before and after the show. For more than three decades, Valy has dutifully transcribed masterworks that have embodied his own unique flare for the risqué́ with Peter Maxian pop. After studying under the great Jean Cocteau, Valy has proven his worth with exceptional dexterity. His works are collected by President Bill Clinton, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and philanthropist Barrett Hamilton, among many others.
