Riverkeeper Benefit

Special guest Van Jones, who serves as President Obama’s special advisor for Green Jobs, on the White House Council for Environmental Quality spoke to 120 quests at the Riverkeeper’s first annual Hamptons EcoSalon benefit hosted by Joan & George Hornig at their Water Mill Estate. The group including Lorraine Bracco, James Lipton and Karim Abdul Jabar were treated to a brief environmentally focused program led by ardent Riverkeeper supporter Christie Brinkley, Hudson Riverkeeper and President Alex Matthiessen.

Jones emphasized the challenges in protecting the source of our drinking water, while giving an overview of our Presidents ardent approach.  A private dinner for 40 followed a talk-back with Mr. Jones.
