The Show Will Go On! 12th Annual Nightlife Awards January 27th, Town Hall

Producer, writer, host, and champion of cabaret Scott Siegel [Broadway by the Year/Decade, Broadway Unplugged] announced with great rejoicing that "the show will go on" – the 12th Annual Nightlife Awards hosted by three-time Emmy Award winner Bruce Vilanch on January 27 at 7 P.M. at Town Hall, "thanks to the dedicated efforts of our sponsors and donors!" This is the awards show where winners do not make acceptance speeches. They perform. This year’s all-star lineup, hand-picked by members of nightlife media, salute New York’s best in cabaret, comedy, and jazz.
In addition to the winning performers, special guests and presenters will include composer Jason Robert Brown [The Bridges of Madison County], genius comedian Bill Irwin, vocalist Nellie McKay, vocalists Carole J. Bufford and Maxine Linehan, and in the Siegel Barnumesque tradition on all his shows: MORE! Directing will be Scott Coulter, with Ian Herman music directing.
All winners have been kept secret, except by the Nightlife Awards accounting firm that tabulates the votes. Mr. Siegel, the envelopes, please.
