Jamie was in great from opening the evening with There’s A Party Going On featuring parody lyrics by Barry Kleinbort, and later she pulled out all the stops with a very funny Upper West Side Story/Gentiles On My Mind, a riotously witty parody by Jan Schor and Jamie of songs from West Side Story by Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein.

First up was the Grammy Award winning songwriter Julie Gold, who sang her Grammy winning song, From A Distance, made famous by Bette Midler followed by the smart comic Steven Scott.

Brandon Victor Dixon arriving directly from a matinee performance ofHamilton where he has taken over the role of Aaron Burr from Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr.,may of stole the evening with his powerful voice singing first I’m Here For You, a song he originated inThe Wild Party, followed by a knock out rendition of Let Them Hear You, a Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens song from the great musicalRagtime.

Marilyn Maye, the award winning legend, who holds the record for the most appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson was the last performer of the evening. Her impeccable jazzy interpretations of Bye, Bye Country Boy and a Fats Waller Medley accompanied by Billy Stritch on the piano were classic.

Jamie came back to close out the evening with her signature song Jews Don’t Camp by David Buskin, which just gets better and funnier with time. The evening was a swell party, indeed.
