Bob Costas to Host Comedy Legends and Sports Icons for
Madison Square Garden’s Garden of Dreams Benefit

January 26’s Garden of Dreams Foundation Benefit, Garden of Laughs, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden will be hosted by 24-time Emmy-winner sportscaster Bob Costas. The 8 P.M. comedy event, which headlines Whoopi Goldberg, John Leguizamo, Ray Romano, Wanda Sykes, Robert Klein and an A-List of sports icons, is presented by MSG Entertainment and Chase.
"I am honored to support the significant work of the non-profit charity Garden of Dreams Foundation," said Costas. "With the incredible lineup of comedy legends and icons of the sports world, it will be a memorable night for this worthy cause."
Costas has covered every sport from college basketball and horse racing the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and the Olympics. He’s the only person to win Emmys for news, sports, and entertainment. Costas has been named Sportscaster of the Year a record eight times by the National Sportswriters and Sportscaster Association.
Presenters will be New York Ranger Adam Graves, tennis great John McEnroe, New York Knick John Starks, and New York Giant and two-time Super Bowl champion Justin Tuck. They’ll be joined by Brooke Shields; cast members from the Emmy-winning The Sopranos, including Steve Schirripa and Tony Sirico; hip hop artist and Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famer and Garden of Dreams Foundation board member Darryl "DMC" McDaniels.

Since its inception in September 2006, Garden of Dreams has created thousands of once-in-a-lifetime experiences with over 500 annual events that brighten the lives of children battling everything from homelessness and poverty, to illness and those in foster care. These involve more than 215,000 children and their families, who’re given VIP access to Garden events and celebrities.
