Harris Yulin stars in Frost/Nixon, a smart revival of Peter Morgan’s powerful face-off between Richard Nixon and TV personality, David Frost.
July 2, 2018: The standing ovation at the opening night performance of Peter Morgan’s powerful face-off between former President Richard M. Nixon and TV personality, David Frost at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor was a strong sign of approval for the smart revival. Harris Yulin stars as the former president in the entertaining play directed by Sarna Lapine.
The story of Frost/Nixon takes you inside the landmark series of interviews between David Frost and former President M. Nixon, which took place three years after the President resigned, in what was probably one of the greatest political scandals in modern times. Morgan’s fascinating fictionalized account of events leading up to the interviews, and the interviews themselves, makes for a compelling battle of wits between an ambitious journalist and one of America’s most controversial presidents. Considering “The Twitter King,” currently occupying The White House, Morgan’s tantalizing tale couldn’t be more timely.
Frost/ Nixon stars Obie and Lucille Lortel Award winner Harris Yulin as Richard Nixon and Daniel Gerroll as David Frost.
The cast also features Stephen Lee Anderson as Swifty Lazar/Mike Wallace, Cici Koueth as Evonne Goolagong, Christian Conn as Jim Reston, Michael Corvino as Manolo Sanchez, Brian Keane as Bob Zelnick, Danielle Caroline Slavick as Cushing, Price Waldman as John Birt, and Rich Topol as Jack Brennan.
