TravelZoo website, "deal experts" in travel and restaurant discounts, has branched out into theater offering up to 50% discounts to a string of new Broadway plays and musicals, either just opened or about to. The discounts apply to eight shows, with some valid through June and even on weekends and holidays. Registration is required at www.travelzoo.com.

The shows are the limited engagement of MTC’s Richard Greenberg’s The Assembled Parties, directed by Lynne Meadow and starring Jessica Hecht, Judith Light, and Jeremy Stamos – Friedman Theatre – cost per ticket, $50-$80 (rack rate: $67-$120); Roundabout Theater Company’s revival of Clifford Odets’ The Big Knife, set in Hollywood’s "Golden Age," directed by Doug Hughes and starring Bobby Cannavale, Marin Ireland, Richard Kind, and Chip Zien – American Airlines Theatre – $65-$89 ( $92-$127); Rodgers and Hammerstein’s much-revised Cinderella, directed by Mark Brokaw and starring Peter Bartlett, Victoria Clark, Santino Fontana, Harriet Harris, Laura Osnes, and, among others, Ann Harada – Broadway Theatre – $59.50-$99.50 ( $99-$147); the limited engagement revival of Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse’s Jekyll & Hyde, directed by Jeff Calhoun and starring Deborah Cox, Constantine Maroulis, and, Teal Wicks – Marquis Theatre – $89-$99 ($125-$142).

Also included on the discounts are Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein’s Kinky Boots, directed by Jerry Mitchell and starring Annaleigh Ashford, Billy Porter, and Stark Sands – Hirschfeld Theatre – $89 ( $137); the limited engagement of the National Theatre of Scotland’s production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, directed by John Tiffany and Andrew Goldberg and starring Alan Cumming – Barrymore Theatre – $49.50-$119 ($69.50-$135); the revival of Stephen Schwartz’s Pippin, directed by Diane Paulus and starring Charlotte d’Ambrose, Terrence Mann, Andrea Martin, Patina Miller, Matthew James Thomas – Music Box Theatre – $49-$99 ($59-$142); and Christopher Durang’s Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, directed by Nicholas Martin and starring David Hyde Pierce, Kristine Nielsen, and Sigourney Weaver – Golden Theatre – $45-$95 ( $62-$132).
