1,000th performance in 39 Steps on Monday, September 28th. Burton (Peter and the Starcatcher, Tail! Spin!) was in the original Broadway production of the Hitchcock spoof for two years when it first debuted in 2008. He returned to the play at its new off-Broadway home at the Union Square Theatre earlier this year. Previous 39 Steps players Sam Robards, Rob Breckenridge, Claire Brownell, Johnny Behlmann and Jennifer Ferrin were on hand to help Burton celebrate the milestone, as well as to toast what also marked his final performance in the play.

However, Burton will not be far from his fans’ radar. In November he’ll be performing opposite Nick Offerman in A Confederacy of Dunces at Huntington Theatre Company in Boston. Plus, Burton is featured as a New York Times dance critic on the new Starz dramatic series, Flesh and Bone.
